Blueberry Margarita Recipe

Have I told you lately that I love tequila?

I know I need to mix up these recipes that I create and include some other fancy spirits, but gosh—this is blueberries and tequila, is there anything better? It's a little sweet, a little tangy, it's tequila, and it's blue! And it honors that good 'ol summer all -american favorite, the Blueberry.

The Blueberry Margarita

Makes 2 5 oz margaritas

Finely chop 3/4 c fresh blueberries and then muddle them slightly on cutting board

Prepare margarita glasses by first chilling in the freezer and then rimming with fine salt and then dip into the muddled blueberries

Place the rest of the chopped, muddled blueberries into a cocktail shaker filled with ice, and then add;

1.5 oz Tequila (top shef, 100% agave)

1.5 oz Cointreau

1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice

.5 oz simple syrup, or agave syrup

Shake vigorously, pour into those chilled glasses and enjoy responsibly
